Plastic free and zero waste handmade Indian rag dolls, known as bommais. It is a traditional doll found in South India, this range is inspired by Steiner's philosophy, they are faceless, simple dolls made from natural fibres. The clothes are made from end of bolt fabric which is why the outfits may vary in colour.
The first woman of Indian origin to go into space, Kalpana Chawla went from a small town in Haryana to a NASA space mission. She's an inspiration for more girls to take up STEM subjects and to dream big.
With her trademark strong brows and thick hair, she is made of pure cotton, and can be dry cleaned or wiped clean with a damp cloth. Kalpana Bommai's clothes are washable and are sourced locally. Her flight suit can be put back in place with a few button. She wears removable hand crocheted boots and helmet.
The Kalpana Bommai comes with a little sleeping bag and pillow that makes for neat storage. Not suitable for under 6 years old.
