
Plastic free and zero waste handmade Indian rag dolls, known as bommais. It is a traditional doll found in South India, this range is inspired by Steiner's philosophy, they are faceless, simple dolls made from natural fibres. The clothes are made from end of bolt fabric which is why the outfits may vary in colour.

Made of pure cotton, the bommais can be dry cleaned or wiped clean with a damp cloth and is instantly recognisable by her lace collar, silver shoes and rimmed spectacles. Her judge's robes, as well as her trimmed blazer and skirt suit can all be hand washed. Hand pleated rosette make up her earrings, and her spectacles are hand embroidered to her face. She comes with a stuffed, handcrafted, cotton gavel and book, meant to represent the American Constitution.
The Bommai comes with a little sleeping bag and pillow made of hand spun and hand woven fabric (khaddar from Gandigram) that makes for neat storage. Not suitable for babies.
